Alkai by Vėlių Namai immerses the listener in the ritual fires of various ancient traditions, bound seamlessly together with driving techno rhythms and the composers pitch black arrangements. The gods dance in melodies around a frenzied battle of primal chants and traditional instruments from the ghosts of past civilizations. Alkai summons the spirit of ceremonial folk music and sends it deep within the listener who is left utterly possessed and enchanted.
