Soul Offerings by Bålsam, from Neotantra records, is a pure ambient cacophony of subtle harmonics, sparse melodic passages and processed field recordings bringing the listener deep into the rainforest where there are only hints of human life. Light piano and distant voices can be heard on the periphery of nature. The music slowly moves along rivers taking a rest here and there on soft beds of moss. The warm undertones seem to bathe the listener in sunlight that pours through a green canopy, dripping from fresh rains and vast sounds.
