Death from Coastlands is an instrumental cacophony of driving grooves and explosions of beautiful post-metal noise. At times Death almost takes on the dark atmosphere and speed of black metal before winding back down towards floating moments of mellow post-rock clarity. This album surely has a prominent position in the diorama of legends along with the finest in the genre.
